Electronics and Telecommunication engineering is the most sophisticated, demanding and largest branch of engineering. It has diverse application areas that have affected our daily life in various ways. The department has several laboratories to its credit including the state of the art “Tejas Laboratory”. The laboratory facilities enable students to implement experiments in the areas of Antenna designing, modelling of microwave devices, Optical fibers with great enthusiasm in their area of interest. The latest academic syllabus encourages learning the fundamentals of telecommunication and also helps to co-relate principles and theories to real life implementation. Companies mostly prefer to recruit professionals with experience but new graduates with adequate knowledge in simulation and fabrication tools are also absorbed
The world is anticipating a new millennium, which is going to be the wireless telecommunication age. Therefore new areas of research in material sciences, optics, MEMS, NEMS, together will contribute to new revolution in replacing the present state of art devices and systems. Soft skills play an important role as well in developing professional life.
Therefore the department strives hard to impart such skills for overall development of students.
Vidyalankar Polytechnic offers a three year Diploma course in Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai and Approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
