Vision of the Department

The department of electronics and telecommunication aims to serve as a centre of excellence in teaching with a view of providing trained man power for national development and help improve the quality of life of the people by creating public awareness on the use of appropriate scientific and technological development.

Mission of the Department

  • Enabling students to face the competitive world and to install high patterns of discipline and ethics with the help of state of the art infrastructure, committed and involved management and dedicated faculty members.
  • To cultivate the habit in students to work in team and full fill the needs of the society in the various fields related to electronics and tele-communication engineering.
  • An ability to design a system, component or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economics, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability and sustainability.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Training: To impact necessary technical and Generic skills to succeed in industry or to achieve excellence in graduate programs. To prepare/train the students in engineering concepts for achieving excellence in graduate programs (higher education) or to succeed in industry through effective, self-renewing education and training.

Core Competence: To provide the students with latest technology & development in electronics & telecommunication engineering field & to enable them to understand and solve engineering problems.

Scope: To motivate students to achieve vocational excellence, understand, create solutions worthy of services to electronics industry.

Professionalism: To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills, teamwork skills, entrepreneurial skills and ability to relate engineering issues to broader social & economical context.

Conductive Learning Environment: To provide student with encouraging academic learning environment needed for a successful professional career so that they can become a noble soul and an asset to the society.

Programme Outcomes

  1. Engineering knowledge:- Candidates would apply knowledge of mathematics, science and Engineering fundamentals & core engineering specialization to the defined and engineering applied procedures, process, systems or methodologies.
  2. Investigation:- Students will demonstrate the ability to explore at various levels of abstraction of theoretical and practical knowledge.
  3. Ethics:- Students will understand & commit to professional Ethics, responsibilities & norms of engineering technology.
  4. Individual & Team work:- Students will effectively function as a individual, as a member or as a leader in different technical teams.
  5. Communication:- Students will learn the art of communicating, documenting and effective presentation skills & give or receive clear instructions.
  6. Project Management & Finance:- Students will understand and demonstrate engineering management principle & apply the same to work, as a member, leader in a team & to manage projects in various fields.
  7. Lifelong learning:- Students will develop confidence for self education & ability for lifelong learning.
